We are delighted to present the new Plaza exhibition by Victoria Perkins.

Victoria Perkins Art was created after an emancipation from the corporate climate, and the business was subsequently formed during lockdown of 2020. Victoria is now fulfilling her forever dream, and works as a full-time professional artist.  Born and based in Barry, she lives with her Husband, two rescue dogs and a cat.  Although Victoria has always enjoyed practicing her natural aptitude for painting and drawing from an early age, she was formally trained having studied Art and Design in College, and Product Design in University.

Victoria is heavily inspired by nature and animals adopting a distinctive, ethereal, and whimsical style to her watercolour, acrylic and ink paintings.  Many pieces have been created featuring her two dogs, Sausage Dog Marley, and Lanky Lurcher Moose.  Bees also feature heavily within her portfolio of works, capturing their beauty, but also bringing awareness as to their importance to our ecosystem. Whilst Victoria loves to use watercolour, acrylic and ink as mediums, she also enjoys creating detailed graphite and coloured pencil drawings.

Victoria offers commissions in her scope of works; she has created paintings for Beekeepers globally that were used for merchandising and logos, as well as painting an image for a Bakery in Wales to use for their packaging.  Victoria has created many commemorative pieces for her clients around the world, and was commissioned by The Arts for Health and Wellbeing Programme, for a large painting located in the University Hospital of Wales.  Victoria also sells her work on her website as well as galleries and shops around the UK.

Mae’n bleser gennym gyflwyno arddangosfa newydd y Plaza gan Victoria Perkins.

Crëwyd Victoria Perkins Art yn dilyn penderfyniad i ddianc o’r byd corfforaethol a ffurfiwyd y busnes wedi hynny yn ystod cyfyngiadau symud 2020. Mae Victoria bellach yn gwireddu ei breuddwyd oes, ac yn gweithio fel artist proffesiynol llawn amser.  Wedi ei geni yn y Barri, mae’n byw yno o hyd gyda’i gŵr, dau gi achub a’i chath.  Er bod Victoria wedi mwynhau meithrin ei dawn naturiol i baentio a darlunio o oedran cynnar, cafodd hyfforddiant ffurfiol wrth astudio Celf a Dylunio yn y Coleg, a Dylunio Cynnyrch yn y Brifysgol.

Mae Victoria’n cael ei hysbrydoli’n fawr gan natur ac anifeiliaid gan fabwysiadu arddull unigryw, arallfydol a hynod i’w phaentiadau dyfrlliw, acrylig ac inc.  Mae llawer o’i darnau yn cynnwys ei chŵn, ei chi llathaid Marley a’i chi potsiwr hirgoes Moose.  Mae gwenyn hefyd yn rhan helaeth o’i phortffolio gwaith, gan bortreadu eu harddwch, ond hefyd yn codi ymwybyddiaeth o’u pwysigrwydd i’n hecosystem. Er bod Victoria wrth ei bodd yn defnyddio dyfrlliw, acrylig ac inc fel cyfryngau, mae hi hefyd yn mwynhau creu darluniau pensil lliw a graffit manwl.

Mae Victoria yn cynnig comisiynau yn ei chwmpas gwaith; mae hi wedi creu paentiadau ar gyfer Gwenynwyr yn fyd-eang, a gafodd eu defnyddio ar gyfer nwyddau a logos, yn ogystal â phaentio delwedd ar gyfer Becws yng Nghymru i’w defnyddio ar y pecynnau.  Mae Victoria wedi creu llawer o ddarnau coffa i’w chleientiaid ledled y byd, ac fe’i comisiynwyd gan Raglen y Celfyddydau ar gyfer Iechyd a Lles i greu paentiad mawr i’w roi yn Ysbyty Athrofaol Cymru.  Mae Victoria hefyd yn gwerthu ei gwaith ar ei gwefan yn ogystal â mewn orielau a siopau ledled y DU.
