This week is Action for Brain Injury Week, and we are delighted to share a collection of poems written by Trevor Plenty, a former brain injury patient at Rookwood Hospital. Texting Games for Patients

The Arts for Health and Wellbeing Team are working on an exciting project to create a variety of games that patients can play whilst in hospital waiting areas.With many patients currently having to attend hospital appointments alone, these games will act as a positive and fun distraction for patients at a potentially daunting and tedious time.

Thank You for Your Art Contributions

During the pandemic, Cardiff and Vale Arts for Health and Wellbeing received generous contributions of art from many individuals. This art captured moments in time of the feelings of the nation. Some of the art was reflective, some art was uplifting, some art formed tributes those loved ones lost due to Covid-19.  These art works will be a lasting reminder of a challenging time for many.

William Dean Ford Poetry

William Dean Ford is a versatile poet and spoken word performer, and during the pandemic he provided Cardiff and Vale Arts for Health and Wellbeing programme with a weekly ‘Poetry Prescription’ in response to the uncertainties we all faced during those difficult times.

Photographer Conor Elliott, from Penarth is looking to inject a fresh approach to the support for the NHS and other key workers.
