The Hearth Gallery are delighted to present an exhibition by Klatch Collective, which displays the distinct painting styles of their members.

‘Klatch’ was initially formed with the aim of celebrating the group’s distinctive approaches to contemporary painting through exhibiting work that prompts critical discussion about what it means to be a painter today; through discussion, collaboration, residencies, and evolving exhibition spaces — the broadest definition of painting from traditional canvas-on-frame, to sculpture and installation — we aim to break down the conventional, reveal the different relationships that exist between contemporary practices, and bring a new joy to the viewing experience. Through this, Klatch aims to create events that facilitate support networks for other emerging artists, as well as showcase artwork made by members of the collective.

They have previously exhibited/hosted residencies in: Shift, Umbrella, Arcade/Campfa, M.A.D.E Gallery and Volcano Theatre in Swansea as part of Beep Biennial 2020

The Sinsyne exhibition will run until 25th July 2022.

Sinsyne — arddangosfa gan Klatch Collective

Mae’n bleser gan Oriel yr Aelwyd gyflwyno arddangosfa gan Klatch Collective, sy’n arddangos arddulliau peintio unigryw eu haelodau.

Ffurfiwyd ‘Klatch’ i ddechrau gyda’r nod o ddathlu ymagweddau unigryw’r grŵp at beintio cyfoes drwy arddangos gwaith sy’n ysgogi trafodaeth feirniadol am yr hyn y mae’n ei olygu i fod yn beintiwr heddiw; drwy drafodaeth, cydweithio, preswylfeydd, a mannau arddangos sy’n datblygu dros amser — y diffiniad mwyaf eang o beintio traddodiadol o ganfas-ar-ffrâm, i gerfluniau a gosodiadau — ein nod yw chwalu’r confensiynol, datgelu’r gwahanol berthnasau sy’n bodoli rhwng arferion cyfoes, a dod â llawenydd newydd i’r profiad. Trwy hyn, nod Klatch yw creu digwyddiadau sy’n hwyluso rhwydweithiau cymorth ar gyfer artistiaid eraill sy’n dod i’r amlwg, yn ogystal ag arddangos gwaith celf a wnaed gan aelodau’r grŵp.

Maent eisoes wedi arddangos/cynnal preswylfeydd yn: Shift, Umbrella, Arcade/Campfa, Oriel M.A.D.E a Theatr Volcano yn Abertawe fel rhan o Beep Biennial 2020

Bydd arddangosfa Sinsyne i’w gweld tan 25 Gorffennaf 2022.
