Get Drawing Whitchurch is a visual arts group based in Whitchurch Library, Cardiff, which was established in 2019 by Creative Lives.
Throughout its history, the group has experimented with various drawing, painting and printing techniques; has studied different styles and artistic movements; and has undertaken field trips.
The group has been meeting every week since its inception, moving online during the pandemic. The members balance creative production time with the all-important learning and sharing sessions that follow.
This exhibition represents a selection of recent work from the members, reflecting their wide range of interests, and is a testament to the importance of participation in community-based creative activity.
The exhibition will run until 4th March 2024.

Mae Get Drawing Whitchurch yn grŵp celfyddydau gweledol sydd wedi’i leoli yn Llyfrgell yr Eglwys Newydd, Caerdydd, a sefydlwyd yn 2019 gan Creative Lives.
Trwy gydol ei hanes, mae’r grŵp wedi arbrofi gyda thechnegau lluniadu, peintio ac argraffu amrywiol; wedi astudio gwahanol arddulliau a mudiadau artistig; ac wedi ymgymryd â theithiau maes.
Mae’r grŵp wedi bod yn cyfarfod bob wythnos ers ei sefydlu, gan symud ar-lein yn ystod y pandemig. Mae’r aelodau’n cydbwyso amser cynhyrchu creadigol gyda’r sesiynau dysgu a rhannu holl bwysig sy’n dilyn.
Mae’r arddangosfa hon yn cynrychioli detholiad o waith diweddar gan yr aelodau, gan adlewyrchu eu hystod eang o ddiddordebau, ac mae’n dyst i bwysigrwydd cymryd rhan mewn gweithgaredd creadigol cymunedol.
