We are delighted to present Inspired By … an exhibition of work created by participants attending creative art sessions led by artist Louise Jensen supported by the 4 Winds Mental Health Resource over the Winter/Spring 2022.

Louise Jensen:
‘’Prompted by visits to Cardiff National Museum and Cardiff Bay Wetlands we took as our starting point those things that breathe life into us, which fuel and sustain us, and which we hold most dear.
Through exploring ‘Portraiture’, ‘Patterns in Nature’ and the ability to capture ‘This Place’ over 25 participants have been variously involved over the course of eight months in making these pieces, to reflect and encapsulate meaningful connections made. We have explored creative processes including 2d and 3d collage, acrylic painting and mono printing, opening up conversations around wellbeing, creativity and the importance of connection, both in the light of those things that continue to inspire us, and through the stories that we have shared along the way.’’

The project was facilitated by Louise Jensen at the Grange Bowls Pavillion, Grangetown (https://www.facebook.com/louisejensenstiwdioarts) in collaboration with the 4Winds Mental Health Resource (https://4winds.org.uk)
The project was funded through the Celf a’r meddwi I Arts and Minds programme, an Arts Council of Wales / Baring Foundation initiative, and supported through the Arts for Health and Wellbeing Team, Cardiff & Vale Health Charity

Mae’n bleser gennym gyflwyno Ysbrydolwyd Gan…; arddangosfa o waith a grëwyd gan unigolion sy’n mynychu sesiynau celf creadigol dan arweiniad yr artist Louise Jensen gyda chefnogaeth Adnoddau Iechyd Meddwl 4 Winds dros dymor y Gaeaf/Gwanwyn 2022.

Louise Jensen:
“Wedi ein sbarduno gan ymweliadau ag Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Caerdydd a Gwlyptiroedd Bae Caerdydd, fe ddewison ni’r pethau hynny sy’n rhoi bywyd i ni, sy’n ein tanio a’n cynnal, ac sy’n annwyl i ni fel man cychwyn.
Drwy archwilio ‘Portreadau’, ‘Patrymau mewn Natur’ a’r gallu i gofnodi ‘Y Lle Hwn’, mae dros 25 o gyfranogwyr wedi bod yn ymwneud â’r gwaith i raddau amrywiol dros gyfnod o wyth mis, i adlewyrchu a chrynhoi’r cysylltiadau ystyrlon a wnaed. Rydym wedi archwilio prosesau creadigol gan gynnwys collage 2D a 3D, peintio acrylig ac argraffu mono, gan ysgogi sgyrsiau am les, creadigrwydd a phwysigrwydd cysylltiad, yng ngoleuni’r pethau hynny sy’n parhau i’n hysbrydoli a thrwy’r straeon yr ydym wedi’u rhannu ar hyd y daith.”
