The Arts for Health and Wellbeing Team at Cardiff & Vale Health Charity are delighted to support students from the Creative and Therapeutic Arts course at University of South Wales again this year to work with staff members in our MHSOP Assessment and Recovery Unit, on a Queen’s Green Canopy arts project.

The project is in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this year, ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’ and focusses on the ability of nature and the arts to improve our mental health and wellbeing. The art sessions are delivered online and our patients have already embarked on creating wonderful artworks which be exhibited at University Hospital Llandough.

We are also delighted to take part in a joint ‘tree planting’ with the University of South Wales in celebration of this fantastic national initiative and to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee through the creative arts.

We would like to thank Heloise Godfrey-Talbot, lecturer on the Creative and Therapeutic Arts course and her talented students together with our staff members and look forward to their forthcoming exhibition in the Spring in our Plaza Exhibition space.
