The Arts for Health and Wellbeing team were delighted to commission photographer Lisa-Marie Mansfield to create portraits of our staff members at the Cardiff Royal Infirmary as part of our Arts Council of Wales funded project, Cardiff Royal Infirmary: People, Place, Futur

Lisa-Marie Mansfield has worked as a professional photographer for 5 Years after completing her Bachelors Degree in Photography in 2017. She is particularly interested in the power of portrait photography to convey the character, emotion, resilience and strength of her subjects.  Other areas of interest within her work include, landscapes and self-portraiture which relates to her own personal experiences. Lisa-Marie is currently a student at University of South Wales studying MA Arts Practice (Arts, Health and Wellbeing), and aims to expand her arts practice and pursue work within Arts in Health.

CRI Now – A Moment in Time represents a snap-shot in time and features wonderful portraits of willing staff members. We are delighted with the work Lisa-Marie created, capturing the character, countenance and expression of our dedicated staff members.

In addition, staff created their own images of the iconic CRI building, shown in this exhibition alongside photographs by Lisa-Marie Mansfield.

‘’The project CRI Now – A Moment in Time has shown a beautiful journey, from interacting and engaging staff to participate by having their portraits to exploring the historical and Morden art that is continuously developing throughout the CRI building to demonstrate the purpose of Arts in Health. It’s been an absolute pleasure to photograph the staff and work alongside the Arts Team to share Cardiff Royal Infirmary’s story. Everyone is so welcoming, passionate and determined, it brings me great joy to show others how important Cardiff Royal Infirmary is and the changes which are being made for better health and wellbeing.

Thank you all for being incredible and allowing me share this journey with you’’

-Lisa-Marie Mansfield

Roedd tîm y Celfyddydau ar gyfer Iechyd a Lles yn falch o gomisiynu’r ffotograffydd Lisa-Marie Mansfield i greu portreadau o’n haelodau o staff yn Ysbyty Brenhinol Caerdydd yn rhan o brosiect a ariannwyd gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, Ysbyty Brenhinol Caerdydd: pobl, lle, dyfodol.

Mae Lisa-Marie Mansfield wedi gweithio fel ffotograffydd proffesiynol ers 5 mlynedd ar ôl iddi gwblhau ei Gradd Baglor mewn Ffotograffiaeth yn 2017. Mae ganddi ddiddordeb arbennig yng ngrym ffotograffiaeth portread i gyfleu cymeriad, emosiwn, gwydnwch a chryfder ei phynciau. Mae ei gwaith hefyd yn archwilio tirweddau a hunanbortread sy’n ymwneud â’i phrofiadau personol ei hun. Ar hyn o bryd mae Lisa-Marie yn fyfyriwr ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru ac yn astudio MA Ymarfer Celf (y Celfyddydau, Iechyd a Lles), a’i nod yw ehangu ei hymarfer celf a mynd ar drywydd gwaith o fewn y Celfyddydau yn y maes Iechyd.

Mae’r prosiect yn cynrychioli cyfnod mewn amser ac yn cynnwys portreadau hyfryd o aelodau o staff a oedd yn barod i gymryd rhan. Rydym wrth ein bodd gyda gwaith Lisa, sy’n crisialu cymeriad a mynegiant ein haelodau o staff ymroddedig.

Yn ogystal, bu staff yn creu eu lluniau eu hunain o adeilad eiconig Ysbyty Brenhinol Caerdydd, sy’n cael eu harddangos yn yr arddangosfa hon ochr yn ochr â ffotograffau Lisa-Marie Mansfield:

Mae’r prosiect CRI Nawr – Cyfnod mewn Amser wedi bod yn daith hardd, o ryngweithio â staff a gofyn iddynt gymryd rhan er mwyn creu portreadau ohonynt, hyd at archwilio’r gwaith celf hanesyddol a modern sy’n datblygu’n barhaus ar hyd a lled adeilad Ysbyty Brenhinol Caerdydd i arddangos diben y Celfyddydau mewn Iechyd. Mae wedi bod yn bleser pur tynnu lluniau o’r staff a gweithio ochr yn ochr â Thîm y Celfyddydau i rannu stori Ysbyty Brenhinol Caerdydd. Mae pawb mor groesawgar, angerddol a phenderfynol; mae dangos pa mor bwysig yw Ysbyty Brenhinol Caerdydd i eraill yn dod â chryn bleser i mi, yn ogystal â’r newidiadau sy’n cael eu gwneud i wella iechyd a lles.

Diolch i chi i gyd am fod yn anhygoel ac am fy ngalluogi i rannu’r daith hon gyda chi.
