The Arts for Health and Wellbeing team commissioned Artist Clare Williams to produce an original piece of art that celebrates diversity and inclusion within Cardiff, The Vale of Glamorgan and across Wales.

This piece was commissioned as a result of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board inviting applications from artists and creative collaborators to work on projects that provide messages of support, respect and to reaffirm their commitment to continue to work with patients, staff and colleagues and provide support as part of their collective commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion for all, not just while the Black Lives Matter movement is so prominent in the media, but each and every day.

Clare now divides her time between painting and working as a freelance theatre practitioner. She is currently working on portraits of Welsh rural life and with the black-led street dance company Jukebox Collective based in Butetown. She loves a good story and revels in communicating and sharing the stories people tell.

This project is supported by NHS Charities Together.
