Artist and Patron, Nathan Wyburn releases his book 2020 Diary of Nathan Wyburn in collaboration with Cardiff & Vale Health Charity. Nathan is known for his ambitious portraits created using unusual materials such as soup and cheese. The visual diary displays how the Welsh artist used his Pop Culture art to document and reflect the times whilst boosting morale during the first 12 months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amongst celebrities and well-known faces, included in the book are several of Nathan’s commissions for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, from coffee tributes to hang in Barry Hospital, to his renowned ‘NHS Thank You’ portrait collaged from images of Health Board staff; Nathan has aided the Arts for Health and Wellbeing Team to demonstrate the positive impact of art.

I’m extremely thrilled to be releasing this book based on my work over the past 12 months. Art of all kinds, is more important now than ever, for our wellbeing and for hope. Being a patron for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity is something I’m undeniably proud of – so all proceeds from the sale of this book, my third collection of work, will go direct to them. I hope the book doesn’t just provide reflection, but education, good and thoughtful memories, along with a much needed smile.”
