From rainbows to remembrance art work, the hugely popular “With Thanks” exhibition, which was on display during the pandemic at the Hearth Gallery at University Hospital Llandough is now on permanent display at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s Head Office at Woodland House.
Visitors and colleagues to Woodland House now have the opportunity to see this inspiring and wonderful display of art, highlighting the dedication of all Cardiff and Vale University Health Board staff during the unprecedented challenges faced throughout the pandemic.

Focusing on the importance of Art for everyone’s health and wellbeing, this exhibition features a wonderful collection of paintings, drawings, photography, creative writing and textiles created from community-response artworks and projects, donated pieces, commissions, and school projects.
During Covid-19, there has been a cultural shift in the way people see art and creativity within local communities. Many people have nurtured their own artistic practice in lockdown and others have used it to learn new creative skills or use creativity in a way to show immense gratitude to those around who care for others. Cardiff and Vale Arts for Health and Wellbeing are so very grateful to the community artists within this exhibition for their generous donations of artwork to Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
