Welcome to our Winter Open Exhibition 2020 at Oriel yr Aelwyd : The Hearth Gallery, University Hospital Llandough.

We are delighted to showcase a group exhibition of paintings, drawings, photography, textiles and prints by our staff members, Patients, visitors and members of our community.

From all the pressures this year that the Covid-19 pandemic has given us, it is clear that creativity and making has been a huge benefit to us all during our day to day life at home. From family dining tables being turned into art studios and workshops, to many people creating new hobbies through arts and crafts, it is evident that we are all makers and creators and enjoy the positive experience of creativity.

Whether you take the time to view art, create art, or do both, the physical and mental benefits of being surrounded by art can be enormous. At Cardiff and Vale University Health Board we believe in the power of the Creative Arts and so through projects and exhibitions it is our aim to improve the everyday lives and wellbeing of our staff, patients and visitors.

Our Winter Open Exhibition runs until 8pm on January 10th 2021.

Croeso i Arddangosfa Agored y Gaeaf 2020 yn Oriel yr Aelwyd : Oriel yr Aelwyd, Ysbyty Athrofaol Llandochau.

Mae’n bleser gennym arddangos grŵp o arddangosfeydd peintio, darlunio, ffotograffiaeth, tecstiliau a phrintiau gan Staff, Cleifion ac Ymwelwyr ac aelodau ein cymuned.

O’r holl bwysau eleni y mae pandemig Covid-19 wedi’i roi inni, mae’n amlwg bod creadigrwydd a gwneud wedi bod o fudd enfawr i bob un ohonom yn ystod ein bywyd o ddydd i ddydd gartref. O fyrddau bwyta teuluol yn cael eu troi’n stiwdios celf a gweithdai, i lawer o bobl sy’n creu hobïau newydd drwy gelfyddydau a chrefftau, mae’n amlwg ein bod i gyd yn wneuthurwyr ac yn grewyr ac yn mwynhau profiad cadarnhaol creadigrwydd.

P’un a ydych yn cymryd yr amser i weld celf, creu celf, neu wneud y ddau, gall manteision corfforol a meddyliol cael eich amgylchynu gan gelfyddyd fod yn enfawr. Ym Mwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Caerdydd a’r Fro credwn yn gryf yng ngallu’r Celfyddydau Creadigol a thrwy phrosiectau ac arddangosfeydd ein nod yw gwella bywydau bob dydd a lles ein staff, ein cleifion a’n hymwelwyr.

Mae Arddangosfa Agored y Gaeaf yn para tan 8pm 10 Ionawr 2021.
