On Friday, 5th October the entries to the “No Filter” Staff photography competition were judged by Jane Hutt, Assembly Member for the Vale of Glamorgan, Will Dean Ford, a performance poet and one of our close collaborators, and Bryn from the UHB’s arts team.
We had so many fantastic entries and deliberated long and hard about the different ways in which mental health can be represented photographically. Unfortunately, there is only a finite amount of wall space allocated to this project so not every photograph was able to make it into the exhibition but we hope that you feel as we do that the selection of winning photographs illustrate the different facets of mental health, as well as particular moments and things the artists found uplifting.
Thank you all so much for your contributions. The winning photos can be seen below.
We will be in touch with each winning photographer to congratulate them in person and get some more information about the contexts in which their photographs were taken.
