The Hearth Gallery is delighted to show an exciting exhibition of new and commissioned artworks in celebration of 70 years of the formation of the NHS.
Commissioned artworks on display within the gallery space include a print installation by Molly May Lewis, a signature painting by Aidan Myers, and a collaborative textile wall-hanging by Alison Holmquist.
We are excited to present collaborative projects including a sculptural installation by Simone Cuff, a video installation by Mark Taubert and a sound installation by University of Manchester as part of their NHS at 70 National Digital Archive project.

We are also displaying a painting of Aneurin Bevan by Nathan Wyburn together with Illustrations and Observational Sketches by Helen Turnbull.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing, Vaughan Gething and Aneurin Bevan’s great nieces, Nygaire Bevan and Jane Williams, who brought with them the special commemorative miner’s lamp.
